IAPP AIGP Study Plan¶

Four weeks at 6-8 hours a week. IAPP recommends at least 30 hours of study in total. Study against the v2.1 body of knowledge; the question ranges per domain set how much time each gets.

Week 1: Foundations (Domain I, 16-20 questions)¶

• Read notes/01-foundations-of-ai-governance.md
• Read the EU AI Act definitions in Article 3 and the OECD principles
• Read NIST AI RMF Section 3 on trustworthy characteristics

Week 2: Laws, standards and frameworks (Domain II, 19-23 questions)¶

• Read notes/02-laws-standards-and-frameworks.md
• Read Articles 5, 6, 9-15, 26, 50 and 99 of the AI Act and Annex III
• Read the GOVERN, MAP, MEASURE and MANAGE sections of the AI RMF

Week 3: Development and deployment (Domains III and IV, 21-25 each)¶

• Read notes 03 and 04
• Read the AI safety pillar for the security view of the same life cycle

Week 4: Practice and review¶

• Work through the practice questions; read every explanation
• Re-read the notes for any domain below 70%
• Work through the scenarios

Readiness check¶

You are ready when you can explain, without notes, the difference between: provider and deployer, prohibited and high-risk, a framework and a law, GOVERN and MANAGE, model drift and data drift, and a policy and a control.
